dc.descriptionEl orgullo regional, al igual que el nacional, se re ere a los sentimientos de estima hacia la región/nación en la que se ha nacido o vive; bien sea una región que forma parte de un país o una región fronteriza. El presente trabajo busca desarrollar una escala del orgullo regional fronterizo (ORF) desde las perspectivas de los habitantes de la región Táchira-Norte de Santander (T-NS). Para ello, metodológicamente, se siguieron tres fases sucesivas: 1. Generación de ítems; 2. Depuración de la escala a través de un análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE); 3. Depuración de la escala a través de un análisis factorial con rmatorio (AFC). Los resultados evidencian una estructura bifactorial representada así: Un primer factor denominado Elementos Personales se re ere a los sentimientos de apego hacia la cultura, historia e incluso a las raíces étnicas, y un segundo factor denominado Elementos Socioculturales que simbolizan los afectos hacia lo histórico en el sentido del logro histórico de la región; así como también a la inclusión de aspectos culturales como la solidaridad o rasgos especí cos de la región. Finalmente, se concluye sobre la di cultad para abordar un estudio de ORF sin considerar la dimensión humana emanada del cuerpo de creencias, actitudes y sentimientos hacia los objetos socioculturales de la región. Además, se exponen implicaciones teóricas y prácticas; así como limitaciones para validar la escala interculturalmente.

dc.descriptionRegional Pride, as well as national pride, refers to the feelings of esteem for the region/country in which a person is born or lives; either a region that is part of a country or a border region. This paper seeks to develop a scale of Border Regional Pride (BRP) from the perspective of the inhabitants of the Táchira- North Santander Border Region (T-NS). To do that, methodologically, three successive phases were followed: 1. Generation of items; 2. Depuration of the scale through Exploratory Analysis Factor (EAF) and 3. Depuration of the scale through Con rmatory Analysis Factor (CAF). The results show a bifactorial structure, represented as follows: A  rst factor called Personal Elements that refers to the feelings of attachment to the culture, history and even ethnic roots and a second factor called Sociocultural elements that symbolize the affections toward the historical in the sense of the historic achievement of the region; as well as the inclusion of cultural aspects such as solidarity and speci c features of the region. Finally, the conclusion regards with the dif culty of advancing a scale of BRP without considering the human dimension emanated from the body of beliefs, attitudes and sentiments towards the sociocultural objects of the region. In addition, the theoretical and practical implications of the study are presented, including the limitations to validate the scale interculturally.
