La escritura en Egipto siempre ha sido, como en todas las culturas de la antigüedad, un ámbito selecto y restringido a una minoría, pero en el caso de Egipto, además, la escritura aparece vinculada primariamente al ámbito de la realeza y de lo sagrado, siendo su cualidad de transmisora de la literatura o, incluso de mera herramienta administrativa del poder, secundaria. El uso de la misma por sectores más “amplios” dentro de esta restringida élite letrada, fue de la mano con las fluctuaciones del poder “centralizado” del Rey, siendo en el ámbito funerario en general y, en la llamada “Literatura Funeraria” en particular, donde mejor observamos el desarrollo de estos cambios en la ideología del poder.21-42franciscomoroalbacete@yahoo.esThe writing in Egypt always has been, as in all cultures of the antiquity, an select and restricted area to a minority group but, in addition, in the case of Egypt the writing turns out foremost to be linked to the royal and sacred domain, being secondary its quality as a transmitter of the literature or even as a mere administrative tool of the power. The use of writing for “broader” sectors inside this restricted learned elite, goes hand to hand with the fluctuations of the “centralized” power of the King, being in the funerary sphere at large and, particularly in the so called “Funeral Literature”, where we observe better the development of these changes in the ideology of the power.
