Artículo No disponible a texto completoThere are several ways to approach the study of the origin and development of Political Science, and several points of view from which to reconstruct this process that allow us to go beyond a simple historical chronology. In the case of Argentina, the process started in relation, at the beginning of 20th century, to the formulation of a discipline aimed at training political and administrative leaders for public service. Later, along with the development and increasing autonomy of disciplines, political science started differing from international relations and other social sciences. The return to democracy in 1983 was the right setting in which, along with the revaluation of social sciences in general, new careers and specialties could be organized in the practice of political science, particularly at the post-graduate level. At the same time, the configuration of a new political democratizing culture began in this period. This redefined the relations between intellectuals and politics.Existen diversas formas de abordar el estudio del origen y desarrollo de la ciencia política y diversos enfoques desde los cuales reconstruir dicho proceso, de forma que nos permitan ir más allá de una simple cronología histórica.
