IN THE PRESENT PAPER WE GENERALIZE TO CHARGED PARTICLES, THE FORMALISM FOR THE DESCRIPTION OF RESONANCE REACTIONS IR. FOCK SPACE THAT THE AUTHOR DEVELOPED PREVIOUSLY FOR PARTICLES WITHOUT COULOMB INTERACTION. IN PARTICULAR WE SHOW THAT THE DISTRIBUTION OF POLES OF THE S MATRIX FOR THE REACTION IS NOT AFFECTED BY PRESENCE OF THE LONG RANGE ELECTROSTATIC INTERACTION. FOR LOW ENERGIES THE PHASE SHIFTS CAN BE EXPRESSED IN TERMS OF THE SCATTERING LENGTH AND EFFECTIVE RANGE, AS IN THE ANALYSIS OF BETHE AND TEICHMANN. THE EFFECT OF THE COULOMB BARRIER ON THE WIDTH OF THE RESONANCE LEVELS IS ALSO DISCUSSED.
