The Catholic hierarchy and certain evangelical churches have emerged as strong opponents of sexual and reproductive rights in Latin America. Moreover, various ngos calling themselves Pro-Life have begun to play a key role in this conservative activism, operating in the arena of civil society in ways that transcend religion. This article describes the dynamic configurationof these organizations in Argentina. Through the analysis of 140 ngos, it proposes an analytical distinction of the three stages theyhave undergone, considering the changes in their advocacy strategies and in their public identities.La jerarquía católica y algunas iglesias evangélicas se han erigido como fuertesactores opositores a los derechos sexuales y reproductivos en América Latina. Junto a éstas,diversas ong autodenominadas “Pro-Vida” han comenzado a adquirir protagonismo en este activismo conservador, operando en la arena de la sociedad civil de maneras que trascienden lo religioso. El presente artículo tipifica las dinámicasde configuración de estas organizaciones en Argentina. Mediante el análisis de 140 ong, propone una distinción analítica de tres olas por las cuales éstas habrían atravesado, considerando las transformaciones en sus estrategiasde incidencia e identidades públicas.
