ESTE ARTÍCULO SE FUNDAMENTA EN DOS CONSIDERACIONES, A SABER: EL FACTOR FUNDAMENTAL QUE EN LAS ÚLTIMAS DÉCADAS HA LIMITADO EL CRECIMIENTO ECONÓMICO DEL PAÍS Y QUE PROVIENE DE LA INCAPACIDAD DEL SECTOR EXPORTADOR DE GENERAR LAS DIVISAS QUE LA ECONOMÍA NECESITA PARA FUNCIONAR Y CRECER; Y LA AGRICULTURA, QUE SE HA CONSTITUIDO EN UN SECTOR QUE PRODUCE BÁSICAMENTE PRODUCTOS QUE SON TRANSFORMADOS POR LA INDUSTRIA; POR LO QUE SU VERDADERO PESO EN LA ECONOMÍA SE MANIFIESTA AL CONSIDERARLA EN CONJUNTO CON LAS RAMAS DE LA INDUSTRIA QUE PROCESAN MATERIAS PRIMAS AGRÍCOLAS. EN PARTICULAR, ESTO SIGNIFICA QUE LA CONTRIBUCIÓN DE LA AGRICULTURA A LA GENERACIÓN DE DIVISAS EXIGE CONSIDERAR EL BALANCE COMERCIAL CONJUNTO DEL SECTOR CON EL AGROINDUSTRIAL. A TRAVÉS DEL TRABAJO SE MUESTRA QUE ESTE BALANCE COMERCIAL AGREGADO ES PROFUNDAMENTE NEGATIVO PARA EL PAÍS, LO QUE SE EXPLICA, FUNDAMENTALMENTE, POR EL DÉFICIT COMERCIAL AGROINDUSTRIAL.Disponível em Inglês, Espanhol e Francês.This article is based on two considerations, namely the main factor that has limited the country's economic growth in recent decades, i.e. the inability of the export sector to generate the foreign exchange required by the economy to operate and grow, and agriculture, which has become a sector which basically produces crops that are transformed by industry, meaning that its true importance in the economy is reflected by considering it in conjunction with the branches of industry that process agricultural raw materials. In particular, this means that the contribution of agriculture to the generation of foreign currency requires considering the overall trade balance of the sector in conjunction with that of agroindustry. This article shows that this trade balance is profoundly negative for the country, primarily because of the agroindustrial trade deficit.Cet article repose sur deux considérations, à savoirle facteur fondamental qui, au cours des dernières décennies, a limité la croissance économique du pays et qui provient de l'incapacité du secteur des exportations à produire les devises dont l'économie a besoin pour son fonctionnement et sa croissance; et l'agriculture, qui est devenue un secteur dont les produits sont essentiellement destinés à leur transformation industrielle, si bien que son poids réel dans l'économie n'est visible que lorsqu'on la considère conjointement avec les branches de l'industrie qui traitent les matières premières agricoles. Cela signifie en particulier que la contribution de l'agriculture à la production de devises exige de considérer ensemble la balance commerciale de ce secteur et celle de l'agroindustrie. Dans ce travail, on montre que cette balance commerciale que l'on a ajoutée est profondément négative pour le pays, ce qu'explique essentiellement le déficit commercial agro-industriel.
