dc.description.abstract"The present investigation work is focused on the design and construcion of a water cooling towerthrough induced shot evaporaton. lts objective sto re-use the water consumed and take advantage of th energy coming out after cenin heat exchange processes through the water cooling for the Industrial Chemistry Lab of the. Faculy of Sciences. The equipment «limensions were determined through engineering calculi from experimental data and process variables obtained in the essays conducted in the existing cooling equipment. With the resulting design of the engineering calculi the apparatus was constructed with descrplic sheets (40X140cm) forming a vacuum cross-sectioned quadrangular paralelpipedon 0.136 12 and 14m high which gives a volume of 016 m3; a stinlss scel assembly, water distribution system composed of 4 PVC sprinklers sustained or matched to 90” bends; water reservoir with 25 L maximum capacity, an air extractor; 4 fans; 05 HP pump puleys using the electricity as an energy source. The equipment ventilation was calculated and 15'C cooling degree was obtained at the tower outpat, in a 5 min period which points out that that the cooling effect is beter. The equipment has 95% eficiency which shows that the objestive has been met, Morcover it helps to control he environmental contamination and protets the environment wíth the re-use ofthe conditioned water To avoid the equipment decay and its mishandling it is recommended to uso the practice guide."
