| dc.description | El presente trabajo plantea una recorrida por la canción popular uruguaya en un contexto de quiebre institucional. Se abarcarán sus expresiones conocidas como: Canto de Protesta —en la etapa previa al golpe de estado, 1967-1973—, Canto Popular— durante los años de dictadura, 1973 – 1985— y el Rock surgido en Uruguay —luego de la transición democrática, iniciada por las primeras elecciones del año 1984 y cuyo período de gobierno se extiende hasta el año 1989—. Se utiliza la perspectiva de los estudios culturales, analizando los procesos culturales mencionados en relación con los contextos sociales y políticos. | |
| dc.description | In the present work we propose a journey through the Uruguayan popular song in a context of institutional breakdown. Its expressions known as: Canto de Protesta —in the stage prior to the coup d’état 1967-1973—, Canto Popular—during the years of dictatorship, 1973 - 1985— and the Rock that emerged in Uruguay —after the democratic transition, initiated by the first elections of the year 1984 and whose period of government extends until the year 1989—. A perspective from cultural studies is used, analyzing the cultural processes in relation to social and political contexts. | |
