| dc.description | En este artículo exploramos la integración de la teoría plotiniana de las emociones a partir de la rehabilitación del órgano sensorial. Desde esta perspectiva, el alma es perturbada por la abundancia de sensaciones y las emociones son consideradas actividades del alma, que se experimentan cuando esta se da cuenta de los estados del cuerpo. Pero, al igual que en el caso de la sensación, el alma no se ve afectada por las emociones del cuerpo. Para vivir de manera virtuosa el alma conoce de qué manera ha de domeñar los afectos irracionales provenientes del cuerpo, ejerciendo el nivel intelectivo del alma un control total de las emociones. | |
| dc.description | In this paper we explore the integration of the Plotinian theory of emotions from the rehabilitation of the sensory organ. From this perspective, the soul is disturbed by the abundance of sensations and emotions are considered activities of the soul, which are experienced when the soul becomes aware of the states of the body. But, as in the case of sensation, the soul is not affected by the emotions of the body. In order to live virtuously, the soul knows how to tame the irrational affections coming from the body, with the intellectual level of the soul exercising full control over the emotions. | |
