| dc.description | Este trabajo se propone analizar dos propuestas conceptuales que giran en torno a la categoría de género. Para ello se tuvieron en cuenta producciones de Gayle Rubin y Judith Butler que, desde aproximaciones filosóficas, representan parte del debate esencialismo/ construccionismo dentro del campo de los estudios de género durante el último cuarto del siglo XX. Se enfatiza la importancia que tienen estos aportes debate sobre diversidad ya que, en distintos momentos históricos, constituyeron grandes avances teóricos en el campo del feminismo. En este sentido, la obra de Rubin constituye un hito a partir de su conceptualización del sistema sexo/género, así como en Butler encontramos un eje de los debates contemporáneos sobre la diversidad sexo-genérica. Esta última ofrecerá una crítica a la ontología discursiva que liga necesariamente sexo, en tanto dato natural de un real biológico, y género, en tanto conjunto de significados culturales que se depositan sobre aquella base natural. | |
| dc.description | This paper proposes to analyse two conceptual proposals around the concept of gender. In order to accomplish this aim they were considered productions Gayle Rubin and Judith Butler, representing part of the debate essentialism / constructionism in the gender studies field during the last quarter of the twentieth century, from philosophical approaches. It emphasizes the importance of these contributions to the debate about diversity because in different historical moments, were major theoretical advances in the feminism field. In this way, the work of Rubin is a milestone from its conceptualization of sex / gender system and, in Butler, we found a referent of contemporary debates about the sex and gender diversity. She offers a critique of the discursive ontology necessarily linking sex, as natural fact of a biological real, and gender, as set of cultural meanings that are deposited on that natural base. | |
