| dc.description | En este artículo se analizan las medidas del arzobispo fray Joseph Antonio de San Alberto para disciplinar y encauzar la carrera pastoral del clero parroquial en Charcas. Este esfuerzo de renovación está en línea con las reformas eclesiásticas impulsadas desde la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. En el arzobispo San Alberto restablecer la disciplina y la carrera pastoral de la clerecía implicaba el restablecimiento de una iglesia de cristianos primitivos. Tales aspectos son examinados a partir de las cartas pastorales publicadas por el arzobispo. | |
| dc.description | This paper analyses the measures taken by Archbishop Fray Joseph Antonio de San Alberto to discipline and channel the pastoral careers of the parish clergy in Charcas. This renewal effort is in line with the ecclesiastical reforms promoted since the second half of the 18th century. For Archbishop San Alberto, re-establishing the discipline and pastoral career of the clergy implied the re-establishment of a church of primitive Christians. These aspects are examined on the basis of the archbishop's published pastoral letters. | |
