Acoso escolar y habilidades sociales en alumnos de 3° y 4° grado de secundaria del colegio "Marcial Acharan y Smith" del distrito de Trujillo

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo determinar la relación entre el acoso escolar y las habilidades sociales en alumnos de la Institución Educativa “Marcial Acharán y Smith” del distrito de Trujillo. Se trató de un estudio de tipo descriptivo correlacional con diseño no experimental transversal. La muestra se conformó por 300 estudiantes del mencionado colegio. Se aplicaron el cuestionario de acoso entre iguales (CAI-CA) y la lista de chequeo de habilidades sociales de Goldstein. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el mayor volumen de sujetos se ubica en el nivel bajo en las dimensiones de acoso escolar, a excepción de las dimensiones exclusión social indirecta y maltrato verbal. Así mismo, en las dimensiones de habilidades sociales, la mayoría se ubica entre los niveles normal y excelente. Finalmente, se halló relación inversa (Rho=-,441) y altamente significativa (p<,001) entre el acoso escolar y las habilidades sociales, así como a nivel de dimensiones. Se concluye que, a medida que las habilidades sociales se encuentren bien establecidas, tenderán a disminuir los indicadores de acoso escolar.

The objective of this work is to determine the relationship between bullying and social skills in students of the ""Marcial Acharán y Smith"" Educational Institution in the district of Trujillo. It was a descriptive correlational study with a non experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 300 students from the aforementioned school. The Peer Harassment Questionnaire (CAI-CA) and Goldstein's Social Skills Checklist were applied. The results obtained show that the largest volume of subjects is located at the low level in the dimensions of bullying, with the exception of the dimensions of indirect social exclusion and verbal abuse. Likewise, in the dimensions of social skills, most are between normal and excellent levels. Finally, an inverse relationship (Rho=-.441) and highly significant (p<.001) was found between bullying and social skills, as well as at the level of dimensions. It is concluded that, as social skills are well established, the indicators of bullying will tend to decrease
