| dc.description | Background: The transplant of organs and tissues is an alternative treatment that can
save or improve the quality of life of thousands of patients, however, in our country the
donation rate is very low and many of these patients are in waiting list for a long time.
Health professionals and students are aware of this, however, the level of knowledge
reached is not the same in all.
Objective: To determine the level of knowledge, attitude and practice on donation and
transplantation of organs and tissues in medical interns of the hospitals of the city of
Cusco during the year 2018.
Methods: Study of quantitative approach, not experimental, correlational transection.
The size of the population was 83 medical interns from the Hospitals of the Ministry of
Health and EsSalud of the city of Cusco. A validated survey was used. Chi-square was
used for the statistical analysis of the relationship of variables. And the data analysis was
done through the statistical program SPSS
Results: It was found that 79.5% of the respondents had an intermediate level of
knowledge, and of these 62% have adequate knowledge of brain death, while 78% and
66% do not know the ONDT, the law and the process that govern the donation and organ
transplant respectively. 94% had favorable attitudes. Likewise, it was found that in 72%
of the respondents there is no practice concerning the subject either due to personal
inexperience (75%), lack of social interaction (57%), lack of prosocial behavior (41%) or
negative reflection through the DNI (69%).
Conclusions: The level of knowledge of medical interns about organ donation and
transplantation is intermediate and there is a significant relationship with attitude,
however, this is not reflected in practice | |
| dc.description | Antecedentes: El trasplante de órganos y tejidos es una alternativa de tratamiento que
puede llegar a salvar o a mejorar la calidad de vida de miles de pacientes, sin embargo,
en nuestro país la tasa de donación es muy baja y muchos de estos pacientes se encuentran
en lista de espera por mucho tiempo. Los profesionales y estudiantes de la salud son
conscientes de ello, sin embargo, el nivel de conocimiento alcanzado no es igual en todos.
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimientos, actitud y práctica sobre donación y
trasplante de órganos y tejidos en internos de medicina de los hospitales de la ciudad del
Cusco durante el año 2018.
Métodos: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, transeccional correlacional.
El tamaño de la población fue de 83 internos de medicina de los Hospitales del MINSA
y EsSALUD de la ciudad del Cusco. Se empleó una encuesta validada. Para el análisis
estadístico de la relación de variables se utilizó Chi-cuadrado. Y el análisis de datos se
realizó por medio del programa estadístico SPSS
Resultados: Se encontró que un 79.5% de los encuestados tuvo un nivel de conocimiento
intermedio, y de estos el 62% tiene adecuado conocimiento de muerte encefálica,
mientras que el 78 % y 66% desconoce la ONDT, la ley y el proceso que rigen la donación
y trasplante de órganos respectivamente. Un 94% tuvo actitudes favorables. Asimismo,
se halló que en el 72% de los encuestados no existe práctica concerniente al tema ya sea
por inexperiencia personal (75%), ausencia de interacción social (57%), falta de conducta
prosocial (41%) o el reflejo negativo mediante el DNI (69%).
Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento de los internos de medicina sobre donación y
trasplante de órganos es intermedio y existe una relación significativa con la actitud, sin
embargo, esto no se refleja en la práctica. | |
