dc.descriptionEn la actualidad, numerosas producciones audiovisuales LGBTQ+ se encuentran dobladas y subtituladas al español neutro latinoamericano. Si bien, existen diversas investigaciones en el campo de la traducción audiovisual, se evidencia que son escasas aquellas que se enfocan en la caracterización al español neutro de los personajes masculinos homosexuales. A partir de la década de los 90, la industria cinematográfica representó el lado alegre y positivo de formar parte de la comunidad de hombres homosexuales (Maskell, 2021); sin embargo, como producto audiovisual LGBTQ+, It's A Sin (2021) destaca por abordar de manera realista lo que fue ser un hombre homosexual con VIH / SIDA durante los años 80. Por consiguiente, a través del paradigma discursivo de Hatim y Mason (1995), esta investigación pretende caracterizar el gayspeak al español neutro latinoamericano en la miniserie británica It’s A Sin (2021). Esta investigación parte del supuesto de que el gayspeak al español neutro latinoamericano presenta características léxicas provenientes del español mexicano, la adaptación de juegos de palabras y referentes culturales. Desde esta perspectiva, se propone emplear un enfoque cualitativo y la metodología del estudio de caso múltiple. Para llevar a cabo la investigación, se empleará el análisis de contenido mediante el análisis monolingüe de los diálogos doblados y subtitulados de la serie; asimismo, se aplicará un análisis textual-contrastivo, que consistirá en registrar los cambios de los referentes culturales en el texto meta a través de un corpus bilingüe.
dc.descriptionUp to date, a significant number of LGBT audiovisual media are dubbed and subtitled into Latin American neutral Spanish. Although several research studies have been conducted in the field of audiovisual translation, few studies have focused on the characterization of homosexual male characters in neutral Spanish. Beginning in the 1990s, the cinema portrayed the cheerful and positive view of belonging to the gay community (Maskell, 2021); however, as an LGBT audiovisual production, It's A Sin (2021) stands out for portraying the reality of what being a gay man with HIV/AIDS was like during the 1980s. Therefore, the aim of the following study is to characterize the gayspeak in Latin American neutral Spanish in the British miniseries called It's A Sin (2021), through the discursive paradigm proposed by Hatim and Mason (1995). This study is based on the assumption that gayspeak in Latin American neutral Spanish has three main characteristics: the language features of the Mexican Spanish, the adaptation of puns and cultural references. Therefore, it is proposed to apply a qualitative approach and a multiple case study design. For this reason, a monolingual analysis will be conducted through content analysis of the dubbed and subtitled dialogues from the series. Moreover, a contrastive textual analysis will be applied, which will identify the shifts in cultural references in the target text through a bilingual corpus.
