| dc.description | The “Suplemento Literário” is a special supplement of Literature directed by Eça de Queirós and it was published in one of the most important newspaper in Rio the Janeiro at the last decade of the nineteenth century, the Gazeta de Notícias. Its objective was audacious: to provide an overview of European Literature and culture to Brazil. Although some researchers have already been studied the Eça de Queirós writings and books, in Brazil this is the first study that was dedicated to collect all the information about the “Suplemento” and to accomplish a detailed process of restoration of its texts through its scanning and digitizing. Therefore we will present some interesting facts discovered through the observation and analysis of this corpus, in order to make known the writer Eça de Queirós in the journalist function. | |
| dc.description | O “Suplemento Literário” consiste numa folha especial de literatura dirigida por Eça de Queirós e aparecia num dos mais importantes jornais cariocas do final do século XIX- a Gazeta de Notícias. Seu objetivo era audacioso: oferecer aos brasileiros um panorama literário e cultural da Europa para o Brasil. Apesar de muitos pesquisadores já se terem debruçado sobre os escritos queirosianos, no Brasil essa é a primeira pesquisa que se dedicou a reunir todas as informações a seu respeito e a realizar um processo de restauração dos textos através de sua digitalização e digitação. Apresentaremos, portanto, alguns dados interessantes descobertos através da pesquisa realizada com este corpus, a fim de que se possa ampliar a divulgação deste trabalho de Eça de Queirós como jornalista. | |
