Efectividad de la tomografía computarizada versus la radiografía de nasofaringe en el diagnóstico de hipertrofia de adenoides en pacientes del Hospital regional docente de Trujillo

Abstract

Se llevará a cabo un estudio para comparar la efectividad de la tomografía computarizada versus la radiografía de nasofaringe en el diagnóstico de hipertrofia de adenoides en pacientes del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo se tomará en cuenta una población de pacientes pediátricos con sospecha de hipertrofia adenoidea atendidos en el Servicio de Otorrinolaringologia Departamento de Cirugía General del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo durante el periodo Enero – Diciembre 2022 y que cumplan con los criterios de selección. Será un estudio de pruebas diagnósticas. Se aplicará el test de chi cuadrado para establecer la relación entre los hallazgos radiológicos y tomográficos y la presencia de hipertrofia adenoidea. Se determinará la sensibilidad; especificidad; valor predictivo positivo; valor predictivo negativo y exactitud diagnostica. Se realizará el cálculo del intervalo de confianza al 95% del estadígrafo correspondiente.

Abstract A study will be carried out to compare the effectiveness of computed tomography versus nasopharyngeal radiography in the diagnosis of adenoid hypertrophy in patients at the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. A population of pediatric patients with suspected adenoid hypertrophy treated in the Otorhinolaryngology Service, Department of General Surgery of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo during the period January – December 2022 and that meet the selection criteria. It will be a study of diagnostic tests. The chi-square test will be applied to establish the relationship between radiological and tomographic findings and the presence of adenoid hypertrophy. Sensitivity will be determined; specificity; positive predictive value; negative predictive value and diagnostic accuracy. The calculation of the 95% confidence interval of the corresponding statistician will be carried out.
