dc.descriptionArgentine serial fiction has lost presence on open television in the country during the last decade. It is a multi-causal phenomenon that, however, finds a milestone in the disruption of global video-on-demand platforms as producers of local fiction as of 2018, a fact that allows us to understand the mutations of Argentine fiction both in terms of production and narratives. The aim of this paper is to describe and analyze the mutations in both dimensions in the period between 2013 and 2022, a time frame that allows a reading before and after the disruption of the platforms. It is based on a mixed methodological design that combines the evolution of market data with the analysis of fictional narratives. The conclusions highlight the central finding of the work: the extinction of serial fiction from the open television screen, and its recreation from other formats and thematic and narrative keys on large video platforms.en-US
dc.descriptionLa ficción seriada argentina ha perdido presencia en la televisión abierta del país durante la última década. Se trata de un fenómeno multicausal que, sin embargo, encuentra un hito en la irrupción de las plataformas globales de video bajo demanda como productoras de ficción local a partir de 2018, hecho que permite entender las mutaciones de la ficción argentina tanto a nivel de la producción como de las narrativas. El objetivo de este trabajo es describir y analizar los cambios en ambas dimensiones en el periodo comprendido entre 2013 y 2022, recorte temporal que permite una lectura antes y después de la disrupción de las plataformas. Se basa en un diseño metodológico mixto que combina la evolución de datos de mercado con el análisis de las narrativas ficcionales. En las conclusiones, se destaca el hallazgo central del trabajo: la extinción de la ficción seriada de la pantalla de televisión abierta, y su recreación desde otros formatos y claves temáticas y narrativas en grandes plataformas.es-ES
