dc.description.abstractEnvironmental Economics Fundamentals is an ELECTIVE course aimed at students of economics who are interested in a basic introduction to issues and tools for an economic exploration of sustainability.Sustainability is one of the most intense and pertinent areas of economic investigation in the world today. It challenges thinkers and policy makers to use traditional tools of analysis in new ways as well as create and integrate new ways of thinking about trends threats and opportunities. Environmental economics is the basis for understanding and choosing the impacts and implications of policies and initiatives in this new context. This course is a broad survey of the approaches and issues that will face students in the near future world.
