dc.descriptionIntroducción. Este trabajo de investigación tiene como enfoque primordial el estudio de manifestaciones populares culturales relacionadas con la religión y la cuidad de Riobamba, tradición religiosa con más de 100 años de historia que por pandemia mundial ha tenido que ser paralizada, en el mes de diciembre del año 2021 los fieles devotos del Niño “Rey de Reyes” que en la actualidad es propiedad de la familia Mendoza. Objetivo. Homenaje a la Sagrada Imagen Niño “Rey de Reyes” con actos ceremoniales en el templo “Loma de Quito”, con danzas donde participan los personajes tradicionales, serenatas para fortalecer la fe de los fieles devotos. Metodología. Esta investigación tiene una metodología etnográfica, con un diseño de investigación de carácter cualitativo y de campo aplicando la técnica de observación y un instrumento de ficha de organización de información que sirvió para establecer el orden de la celebración desarrollada en 11 días, además se trabajó con la tabla de Taxonomía Jerarquizada de las Manifestaciones Populares Culturales de Chimborazo para la selección de la manifestación objeto de este estudio que es Mágicas/ Religión. Resultado. Tablas de registro del desarrollo de las actividades religiosas durante 11 días con evidencia fotográficas que evidencias la devoción de los fieles a pesar de estar aun en tiempo de pandemia.  Conclusión. Finalmente, se ha determinado como expresiones o productos de un sistema cultural popular a las manifestaciones culturales populares, en cuanto a las festividades religiosas que son expresiones de la religiosidad popular y referente identitario en nuestro territorio, la celebración en honor al niño “Rey de Reyes” de la cuidad de Riobamba, confluyen valores, no sólo religiosos, sino también, culturales, sociales.es-ES
dc.descriptionIntroduction. This research work has as its primary focus the study of popular cultural manifestations related to religion and the city of Riobamba, a religious tradition with more than 100 years of history that due to a global pandemic has had to be paralyzed, in the month of December of the year 2021 the faithful devotees of the Child "King of Kings" who is currently owned by the Mendoza family. Objective. Tribute to the Sacred Child Image "King of Kings" with ceremonial acts in the "Loma de Quito" temple, with dances where traditional characters participate, serenades to strengthen the faith of the faithful devotees. Methodology. This research has an ethnographic methodology, with a qualitative and field research design applying the observation technique and an information organization file instrument that served to establish the order of the celebration developed in 11 days, also worked with the table of Hierarchical Taxonomy of the Popular Cultural Manifestations of Chimborazo for the selection of the manifestation object of this study that is Magic / Religion. Result. Registration tables of the development of religious activities for 11 days with photographic evidence that demonstrates the devotion of the faithful despite being in a time of pandemic. Conclusion. Finally, popular cultural manifestations have been determined as expressions or products of a popular cultural system, in terms of religious festivities that are expressions of popular religiosity and identity reference in our territory, the celebration in honor of the child "King of Kings” of the city of Riobamba, values ​​converge, not only religious, but also cultural, social.en-US
