| dc.description | El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la prevalencia de maltrato infantil según las características sociodemográficas de las madres de niños y niñas con edades entre 3 y 5 años de un Centro de Desarrollo Infantil - CDI en Sucre, Colombia. La metodología utilizada en el estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo con un alcance descriptivo – comparativo y un diseño de tipo no experimental, de corte transversal. Se empleó un muestreo intencional mediante el cual se seleccionaron 30 madres de niños con edades entre 3 y 5 años, el instrumento utilizado fue la Escala de Estrategias de Resolución de Conflictos – Conflict Tactic Scale compuesta por 24 ítems los cuales incluyeron estrategias de resolución de conflictos de los padres en recientes meses. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que no existen diferencias significativas entre la prevalencia de maltrato y la edad de la madre, sin embargo, en cuanto a las variables de nivel de escolaridad y nivel socioeconómico si se hallaron estas diferencias. Se resalta la importancia de realizar estudios que visibilicen esta problemática, siendo un aporte teórico y reflexivo con miras al desarrollo de programas de prevención o atención para salvaguardar la integridad y el bienestar de los niños durante sus primeros años de vida. | es |
| dc.description | The objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of child abuse according to the sociodemographic characteristics of mothers of children between 3 and 5 years of age in a Child Development Center-CDI in Sucre, Colombia. The methodology used in the study had a quantitative approach with a descriptive-comparative scope and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The instrument used was the Conflict Resolution Strategies Scale - Conflict Tactic Scale composed of 24 items which included conflict resolution strategies of the parents in recent months. The results obtained showed that there were no significant differences between the prevalence of abuse and the mother's age; however, these differences were found for the variables of level of schooling and socioeconomic level. It is important to carry out studies that make this problem visible, as a theoretical and reflexive contribution to the development of prevention or care programs to safeguard the integrity and well-being of children during their first years of life. | en |
