dc.descriptionRESUMEN : La mala gestión de los residuos sólidos genera la producción de lixiviados, proliferación de vectores y emisión de gases contaminantes que tienen efectos negativos sobre el medio ambiente, la salud y calidad de vida de las personas. En este proyecto se formuló un Plan de Manejo Integral de Residuos Sólidos (PMIRS) para la sede administrativa Cacique Toné de la alcaldía de Urrao que se encuentra ubicada en el suroeste antioqueño, donde se realizan actividades relacionadas a la gestión municipal. Para cumplir con este objetivo se realizó una encuesta en cada una de las oficinas de la sede que permitió identificar el conocimiento que se tiene respecto al manejo de residuos sólidos por parte de los funcionarios. Además, se realizó una caracterización del tipo y cantidad de residuos generados para la cual se recolectaron, separaron y pesaron los residuos durante 3 semanas y donde se pudo identificar que de los residuos generados el 52% son reciclables, el 42% ordinarios, 5% orgánicos y 4% peligrosos. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se diseñó el PMIRS en el cual se incluye la creación de un grupo de gestión ambiental, actividades de educación ambiental, prevención y minimización, separación en la fuente y almacenamiento. Por último se planteó la integración del PMIRS en el PGIRS municipal.
dc.descriptionABSTRACT : The mismanagement of solid waste generates the production of leachate, proliferation of vectors and emission of polluting gases that have negative effects on the environment, health and quality of life of people. In this project, an Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan (PMIRS) was formulated for the Cacique Toné administrative headquarters of the mayor’s office of Urrao, which is in the southwest of Antioquia, where activities related to municipal management are carried out. To meet this objective, a survey was carried out in each of the offices of the headquarters that made it possible to identify the knowledge you have regarding the management of solid waste by officials. In addition, a characterization of the type and amount of waste generated was carried out for which the waste was collected, separated and weighed in 3 weeks and where it was possible to identify that of the waste generated 52% is recyclable, 42% ordinary, 5% organic and 4% hazardous. Based on the results obtained, the PMIRS was designed, which includes the creation of an environmental management group, environmental education activities, prevention and minimization, separation at the source and storage. Finally, the integration of the PMIRS into the municipal PGIRS was proposed.
