| dc.description | Las prácticas profesionales son una manera para poner en práctica los conocimientos y aquellas habilidades que se adquirieron en la universidad, aunque no es un periodo en el que uno deja de aprender, de hecho, va profundizando en algunos temas que conoció durante los años de carrera y va adquiriendo nuevos conocimientos. El departamento de Desarrollo Empresarial es un espacio en donde todos los días hay algo diferente. Este departamento se divide en diferentes unidades, estas siendo: Misiones comerciales, Ruedas de negocios, Proyectos, Capacitaciones para los colaboradores de las empresas afiliadas, la Unidad de apoyo a la MIPYME y el Centro de información empresarial.
Al ser un departamento con tantas unidades, hay muchas actividades por realizar y eso permitió que pudiera conocer un poco de cada una de esas unidades y asistir en sus actividades. Los primeros días de la práctica fueron para instruirme en las diferentes bases de datos de la Organización Mundial del Comercio para luego realizar las investigaciones de mercado, con ello fue necesario conocer sobre las partidas arancelarias y así empezar a buscar potenciales mercados para la empresa afiliada a la CCIC que tenía la intención de exportar, logrando agendar citas de negocios con empresas importadoras de sus productos.
También, se dio la oportunidad de estar presente en estas reuniones y saber cómo eran estas negociaciones, asimismo profundizar aquellos conocimientos adquiridos en la universidad en cuanto a los Tratados de Libre Comercio al escuchar a los empresarios hablar sobre las tarifas arancelarias que tenían nuestros países por ser parte del Tratado. Tales conocimientos aplicados y habilidades desarrolladas con la experiencia de trabajar en estas citas de negocios fue una parte de conocer cómo funciona la unidad de Misiones comerciales.
En el caso de la unidad de Proyectos se fue conociendo de manera práctica cómo funcionan estos y cómo se desarrollan cuando se trabaja con la cooperación internacional al desarrollo. En este sentido, se asistió durante la planificación y ejecución del Proyecto Empleando Futuros por parte de la Agencia de Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo Internacional (USAID), un proyecto cuyo fin es capacitar alrededor de 50 MIPYMES del Valle de Sula que fueron afectadas por la situación del Covid-19 y las tormentas tropicales Eta e Iota para que estas puedan incrementar sus ventas y generar más fuentes de empleo. Otro proyecto de cooperación internacional al desarrollo que está en ejecución en el departamento es con el Gobierno de Canadá a través de TFO Canadá llamado ¨Mujeres en el comercio para un crecimiento inclusivo y sostenible¨ en donde fue una oportunidad para profundizar más los conocimientos en cuanto a derechos humanos y la situación que viven muchas mujeres a lo interno del país dedicadas al sector agrícola. | |
| dc.description | Professional internships are a way to put into practice the knowledge and skills that were acquired at the university, although it is not a period in which one stops learning, in fact, one goes deeper into some topics that he/she learned during the years of career and is acquiring new knowledge. The Business Development department is a space where there is something different every day. This department is divided into different units, these being: Trade Missions, Business Roundtables, Projects, Training for employees of the affiliated companies, the MSME Support Unit and the Business Information Center.
Being a department with so many units, there are many activities to be carried out and that allowed me to get to know a little about each of these units and assist in their activities. The first days of the practice were to instruct me in the different databases of the World Trade Organization to then carry out market research, with this it was necessary to know about the tariff items and thus start looking for potential markets for the company affiliated with the CCIC that had the intention of exporting, managing to schedule business appointments with companies that import their products.
Also, the opportunity was given to be present at these meetings and to know what these negotiations were like, as well as to deepen the knowledge acquired at the university regarding Free Trade Agreements by listening to businessmen talk about the tariff rates that our countries had for be part of the Treaty. Such applied knowledge and skills developed from the experience of working these business appointments was a part of knowing how the Trade Missions unit works.
In the case of the Projects unit, it was learned in a practical way how these work and how they are developed when working with international development cooperation. In this sense, assistance was provided during the planning and execution of the Employing Futures Project by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a project whose purpose is to train around 50 MSMEs from the Sula Valley that were affected by the situation of Covid-19 and tropical storms Eta and Iota so that they can increase their sales and generate more sources of employment. Another international development cooperation project that is being carried out in the department is with the Government of Canada through TFO Canada called Women in commerce for inclusive and sustainable growth where it was an opportunity to further deepen knowledge regarding to human rights and the situation experienced by many women within the country dedicated to the agricultural sector. | |
