| dc.description | La hipertensión arterial constituye el primer factor de riesgo cardiovascular en el paciente geriátrico, y se considera un problema de salud a nivel mundial. Objetivo. Contribuir al conocimiento de la situación de salud cardiovascular del adulto mayor con Hipertensión arterial atendido en el hospital de occidente. Método. Estudio descriptivo; realizado en el Hospital de Occidente, Santa Rosa de Copán, de donde se obtuvo una muestra de 60 participantes mayores de 65 años. Se utilizó un cuestionario de 23 preguntas, se tomó presión arterial, talla y peso previo consentimiento informado. El criterio para la clasificación de la hipertensión arterial fue la guía de la Sociedad Europea de Cardiología 2018 y para la parte nutricional se tomaron los rangos de la sociedad española de nutrición parenteral y enteral y sociedad española de geriatría. Resultados. Dentro de los aspectos sociodemográficos se encontró mayor prevalencia en el género masculino (56.67% hombres y 43.33% mujeres), con una brecha de tratamiento no favorable para esta población, ya que solo el 80% lleva tratamiento el cual no es adecuado por lo menos en el 30.5% de los casos, dentro de antecedentes personales 25% refieren haber fumado y el 15% sigue fumando, La HTA muestra una prevalencia alta en la diabetes mellitus tipo 2 con un 22% de los pacientes estudiados, el 13.79% refirió tener alteraciones en el perfil lipídico de estas solo el 62.5% está en tratamiento, con una situación nutricional en la que solo el 25% presenta un IMC adecuado, un 20% esta con sobrepeso y un 25% presenta obesidad. | |
| dc.description | Arterial hypertension constitutes the first cardiovascular risk factor in the geriatric patient, and it is considered a worldwide health problem. Objective. Contribute to the knowledge of the cardiovascular health situation of the elderly with hypertension treated at the western hospital. Method. Descriptive study; carried out at the Hospital Occident, Santa Rosa de Copán, from which a sample of 60 participants over 65 years of age was obtained. Results.
