En Honduras el sector de mayor impacto es el de CFN (por sus siglas en inglés Cargill Feed and Nutrition), el cual engloba marcas de pollo y embutidos,como ser Pollo Norteño, Delicia y Pollo Rico, además de las marcas de nutrición animal.En Cargill Nutrición Animal (CAN),ubicada en Búfalo, Villanueva,se producen las marcas Dogui, Gati y Alcon.La marca Alcon, cuenta con un fuerte liderazgo en el mercado hondureño.Es una marca preferida por su óptima calidad y valor diferenciado para los dueños de animales de las especies en las que ofrece alimentación como ser: ganado, cerdo, aves de postura, pollo de engorde, caballos, gallos, conejos, camarón y tilapia.Dogui es la marca premium de alimentos para perros, que ofrece tanto variedad de sabores, como alimentos por etapas de vida.Gati es la marcapremium de alimento para gatos que cuenta con gran variedad de sabores.La empresa cuenta con tres diferentes departamentos encargados de supervisar diferentes aspectos del trabajo realizado diariamente., estos son el departamento de proyectos, produccióny mantenimiento.El departamento de mantenimiento se subdivide de acuerdo a las plantas de produccióndentro de la empresa, Extruder y Balanceados, además del área de planeación.El área de planeación se encarga de llevar un control y documentación del mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo que realizan los técnicos y los contratistas en ambas plantas, lo cual incluye rutinas diarias, órdenesde trabajo, inspecciones, trabajos de emergenciay permisos de seguridad.
