| dc.description | La ciudad de San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras es el eje comercial, logístico y financiero de Honduras,
considerada la segunda ciudad con mayor relevancia del país. Al ser una de las ciudades más
importantes del país, el desarrollo y planificación urbana de esta se encuentra en el Plan
Maestro de Desarrollo Municipal (PMDM) con visión a 25 años. Este programa y planificación urbana tiene como objetivo y misión posicionar a la ciudad como una ciudad inteligente, moderna y humana mediante el desarrollo de diversos proyectos urbanos a lo largo del municipio.
En la actualidad, la ciudad atraviesa un déficit de movilidad urbana, el cual, genera una
problemática en la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Dentro del PMDM se visualiza y plantean soluciones de movilidad urbana modal, eficiente y sostenible, pero la proyección de infraestructura por parte de la corporación municipal es darle prioridad a los habitantes que usan movilidad motorizada, siendo únicamente el 27%, dejando fuera el 73% de los habitantes que usan otros sistemas de movilidad sea motorizada o no motorizada. En consecuencia, tenemos grandes avenidas congestionadas y tramos inseguros de la ciudad.
Mediante la aplicación de la metodología de la investigación en normativas y lineamientos municipales, manuales y guías de otras instituciones, análisis del contexto, encuestas a la población muestra y profesionales del área, se determina mediante un diagnóstico la necesidad de implementar una propuesta urbano-arquitectónico que permita desarrollar la movilidad urbana sostenible en tres corredores de la ciudad (norte, centro y anillo periférico) | |
