dc.descriptionLos alumnos Christian Recinos, Edy Ortega e Iris Gómez diseñaron una Red de Distribución de Agua Potable para la Comunidad de Las Fúnez, la cual se ubica en Choloma,Cortés. Ésteproyecto fue solicitado a la Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC) por parte de la Fundación Rotary de Choloma, ya que ellos financiaránla ejecución del proyecto.Las Fúnez es una Comunidadque se dedica al cultivo de palma africana y en pequeña escala a la ganadería. Nocuenta con una red de agua potable o saneamiento, sin embargo,el pozo que servirá de fuente para el sistema de agua potableestá ubicado en laescuela pública Ramón Villeda Morales, en cualdeberá habilitarse ya que luego de las inundaciones de Eta e Iota en 2020, hadejado de utilizarse por sospechasde contaminación en él.Tanto las visitas de campo para realizar el levantamiento topográfico, como las asesorías con expertos en hidráulica, contribuyeron a que se definiera un diseño con capacidad de abastecer aun período de 22años. En el2021 la Aldea contaba con 348 habitantes, y se proyecta cubrir la demanda de 546 individuos para 2041 con un consumomáximo horario de 1.35 litros por segundo.
dc.descriptionThe students Christian Recinos, Edy Ortega and Iris Gómez designed a Potable Water Distribution Network for the Community of Las Fúnez, which is located in Choloma, Cortés. This project was requested from the Central American Technological University (UNITEC) by the Rotary Foundation of Choloma, since they will finance the execution of the project. Las Fúnez is a Community that is dedicated to the cultivation of African palm and small-scale livestock. It does not have a drinking water or sanitation network, however, the well that will serve as a source for the drinking water system is located in the Ramón Villeda Morales public school, in which it must be enabled since after the Eta and Iota floods in 2020, it has left to be used due to suspicions of contamination in it. Both the field visits to carry out the topographical survey, as well as the consultancies with hydraulic experts, contributed to the definition of a design with the capacity to supply a period of 22 years. In 2021 the Village had 348 inhabitants, and it is projected to cover the demand of 546 individuals by 2041 with a maximum hourly consumption of 1.35 liters per second.
