dc.descriptionEl uso de herramientas de software es esencial en HONDUTEL para la ejecución de las operaciones, sin embargo, hoy en día son utilizadas múltiples herramientas dentro de la organización las cuales poseen distintos beneficios, costos e inconvenientes al momento de desarrollar proyectos, gestionar las actividades y ejecutar las funciones. Estas herramientas se definen como Software Propietario y Software Libre. Existe un desconocimiento general por parte de la organización sobre la efectividad real del software libre en comparación con las soluciones tradicionales de software privativo adquirido por la organización. Se ha realizado una recopilación de datos a través de una encuesta con medición transversal para evaluar las condiciones generales de los grupos involucrados en la definición del software y se logró identificar que el Software Libre es un 98.47% igual de efectivo que el Software Privativo para HONDUTEL. Se recomienda a la organización comunicar los resultados de la investigación para generar concientización sobre los beneficios y la efectividad que posee el software libre en la ejecución de las operaciones destacando un diferencial de 1.53% entre ambas filosofías
dc.descriptionThe usage of software tools is essential in HONDUTEL for the execution of operations, however, today HONDUTEL uses multiple tools within the organization which have different benefits, costs and inconveniences when developing projects, for manage the activities and execute functions. These tools are defined as proprietary software and open source software. There is a great level of unconsciousness within the organization about the actual effectiveness of open source software compared to traditional proprietary software solutions acquired by the organization. It occurs to be a recollection of data through a survey, with a unique measuring in time, with the goal to assess the overall condition of the groups involved in the definition of the software. The study was able to identify that the Free Software is 98.47 % as effective as the Proprietary Software for HONDUTEL. It is recommended to the organization to communicate the results of the research to generate awareness of the benefits and effectiveness of the open source software in the implementation of operations highlighting a differential of 1.53% between the two software philosophies.
