dc.description | To improve efficiency in cattle herds, one of the main objectives sought is to ensure that the cows have one calf per year. To achieve this, there are early detection technologies that make it possible to identify non-pregnant cows. This research aims to analyze the cost benefit of investing in the early pregnancy detection service through the cost benefit B / C financial tool. The current problem is that many of the breeders withdraw their detection programs because they are expensive and they do not have a clear vision of the economic benefits of early detection. In the end they cause higher costs which are greater in comparison to the benefits. The research hypothesis is whether the investment of pregnancy detection services in bovines generates a cost-benefit ratio greater than one. The methodology research is quantifiable, descriptive, non-experimental and transversal and exploratory approach. The results obtained lead to rejecting the null hypothesis, since the cost-benefit ratio obtained in each scenario proposed is greater than one. It is concluded that the project is viable for investment in the early pregnancy detection service and it is recommended to socialize the results to the livestock union jointly, with Servicios de Reproducción en Bovinos y Equinos S.A., (SERBESA) y Asociación de Ganaderos y Agricultores de Sula (AGAS)
