| dc.description | Sercargo Express es una empresa de importación y exportación de carga aérea y marítima con disponibilidad de entrega a nivel nacional. La empresa tiene 15 años de servir en el rubro de la logística con oficinas en Miami y Los Ángeles en Estados Unidos y sucursales en San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras y Tegucigalpa. El área de trabajo para la presente investigación fue basada en el área de Ventas y Servicio al Cliente donde el objetivo del equipo es asesorar a los clientes nuevos o prospectos acerca de los servicios de la empresa, así como también facilitarles a los clientes actuales las herramientas para continuar trabajando con la empresa. Dentro de las actividades realizadas, destaca la aplicación de conceptos aprendidos durante las clases teóricas mediante el uso del sistema de la empresa donde permite visualizar el proceso y protocolo del movimiento de una carga hacia y desde Estados Unidos. Al comprender conceptos claves como las unidades de peso real y volumétrico, su debido tiempo de transito y restricciones, se puede ampliar la oportunidad de adquirir conocimientos en el rubro de la logística del comercio internacional. A través de la contestación de tickets y rastreo de cargas, se logra no solo entender el proceso de envió y recepción de carga donde si no también formar parte dicha rutina al estar en contacto con cada uno de los departamentos para juntos poder coordinar y estar lo suficientemente preparados para poder solventar los inconvenientes que cada paquete presenta para poder ser entregado. La teoría en la cual se basa esta investigación es la Teoría de la Ventaja Comparativa en la que un país participa en el mercado internacional produciendo aquellas mercancías en las que se especializa, aunque no tenga la ventaja absoluta sobre dicho bien más si una ventaja comparativa mayor. La empresa en este caso, funciona en base a eficiencia. Sercargo Express tiene una ventaja comparativa en cuanto a otras empresas en el rubro de exportación por lo que se distingue por sus precios y la rapidez de su servicio. Según David Ricardo, cada nación o sujeto deberá promover y exportar aquellos bienes o sectores que, dentro de su economía, son más productivos (Ricardo, 1998). Apoyándose en la mínima intervención del Estado, esta teoría impulsa al intercambio libre sin ningún tipo de aranceles, la empresa privada es un sector que según dicha teoría debe de tener mayor incidencia en el comercio. Cabe mencionar que 80% de los bienes que se consumen se transportan vía marítima (UNCTAD, 2021) siendo el rubro de comercio internacional uno de los factores influyentes en la economía de un país, ganando aun mayor relevancia con el creciente fenómeno de la globalización. De esta manera, poder aprender de este rubro tan importante es una gran oportunidad ya que no solo se adquiere conocimientos si no experiencia practica directamente de uno de los actores que participan en el intercambio comercial de exportación e importación. Es un área donde se ponen en practica los conceptos que explican las relaciones internacionales entre los Estados en un nivel económico y comercial. | |
| dc.description | Sercargo Express is an import and export company of air and sea cargo with delivery availability nationwide. The company has 15 years of service in the field of logistics with offices in Miami and Los Angeles in the United States and branches in San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras and Tegucigalpa. The area of work for this research was based on the area of Sales and Customer Service where the objective of the team is to advise new or prospective customers about the services of the company, as well as to provide current customers with the tools to continue working with the company. Among the activities carried out, the application of concepts learned during the theoretical classes through the use of the company's system where it allows to visualize the process and protocol of the movement of a load to and from the United States stands out. By understanding key concepts such as units of real and volumetric weight, their due transit time and restrictions, the opportunity to acquire knowledge in the field of international trade logistics can be expanded. Through the answering of tickets and tracking of loads, it is possible not only to understand the process of sending and receiving cargo where but also to be part of this routine by being in contact with each of the departments to be able to coordinate and be sufficiently prepared to be able to solve the inconveniences that each package presents to be able to be delivered. The theory on which this research is based is the Theory of Comparative Advantage in which a country participates in the international market producing those goods in which it specializes, although it does not have the absolute advantage over said good more if a greater comparative advantage. The company in this case, works on the basis of efficiency. Sercargo Express has a comparative advantage in terms of other companies in the export sector so it is distinguished by its prices and the speed of its service. According to David Ricardo, each nation or subject should promote and export those goods or sectors that, within its economy, are more productive (Ricardo, 1998). Based on the minimal intervention of the State, this theory promotes free exchange without any tariffs, private enterprise is a sector that according to this theory should have a greater impact on trade. It is worth mentioning that 80% of the goods consumed are transported by sea (UNCTAD, 2021) being the item of international trade one of the influential factors in the economy of a country, gaining even greater relevance with the growing phenomenon of globalization. In this way, being able to learn from this important area is a great opportunity since not only knowledge is acquired but also practical experience directly from one of the actors involved in the commercial exchange of export and import. It is an area where the concepts that explain international relations between States on an economic and commercial level are put into practice. | |
