dc.descriptionGlobal Brigades es una organización sin fines de lucro que financia sus operaciones a través de las donaciones recaudadas por voluntarios para la ejecución de brigadas, desarrolla labores en Honduras, Nicaragua, Panamá y Ghana con voluntarios provenientes de universidades en Estados Unidos, Canadá, Irlanda, Alemania, Reino Unido y Suiza, por lo anterior, un fenómeno social que afecte la percepción de seguridad de los voluntarios en el desarrollo de sus labores en los países beneficiarios provocara un impacto en el financiamiento de las operaciones de la organización. Con lo anterior en mente este estudio tuvo como finalidad determinar el impacto de los índices de criminalidad en Tegucigalpa y la percepción de seguridad de los voluntarios en el financiamiento de Global Brigades. Se hizo uso de un método de investigación mixto, cuantitativo para evaluar las estadísticas y estados financieros de la organización y cualitativo para evaluar la percepción de los voluntarios y directivos. Con el uso de técnicas estadísticas se pudo derivar un modelo que explica en un 91% la incidencia de los índices de criminalidad en el financiamiento de Global Brigades y se estableció que la relación entre estas dos variables es negativa, es decir a mayores índices de criminalidad menor financiamiento disponible para Global Brigades.
dc.descriptionGlobal Brigades is a nonprofit organization that obtains the funds for its operations through donations collected by volunteers, it serves communities in Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Ghana with volunteers from universities in the United States of America, Canada, Ireland, Germany, United Kingdom and Switzerland, given the above, any social issue that affects the perceived safety of the volunteers in the execution of their activities in the beneficiary countries will have an impact in the financing of operations of the organization. With this in mind this study aimed to determine the impact of crime rates in Tegucigalpa and the perceived safety for the volunteers in financing Global Brigades. Using a mixed investigation method, quantitative to evaluate the statistics and financial statements of the organization and qualitative to assess the perception of volunteers and managers of the organization. Through the use of statistical techniques a model that can explain a 91% of the incidence of crime rates on the financing of Global Brigades was created, the relationship of these two variables is negative, given that when the criminality rates increase the financing of Global Brigades decreases.
