dc.descriptionThis article discusses the importance of public management and the participation of the native in the perception of hospitality by the visitor and on the influence of the host in the development and consolidation of tourism in a destination. He tried to clarify why the existing tourist potential in Jaguarão - RS, is not used to make the city a consolidated cultural tourism destination. In order to achieve this clarification, a bibliographical research was carried out not only in classical theorists, but also in recent discussions about hospitality and the analysis of responses to a qualitative questionnaire, sent on a digital platform to a target audience, tourists and visitors from Jaguarão, on how to perceived the hospitality, through the reception by the agents who work in the public and commercial sectors and by the virtual reception of the municipality. Understanding that these interfere in the establishment of a reference for the recognition of Jaguarão as a place of tourist attraction and reception. After the interpretation of the collected data, it was possible to understand that, when the host is available to the visitor offering the best of himself, the failures which could compromise the reception are softened, allowing us to believe that hospitality is an important vector for effecting and the strengthen to the development of tourist activity in the destination.
dc.descriptionO presente artigo disserta sobre a importância da gestão pública e da participação do autóctone na percepção da hospitalidade pelo visitante e sobre a influência do acolhimento no desenvolvimento e consolidação do turismo em um destino. Intentou esclarecer por que o potencial turístico existente em Jaguarão - RS, não é aproveitado de forma a tornar a cidade um destino consolidado de turismo cultural. Buscando esse esclarecimento, foi realizada pesquisa bibliográfica não apenas em teóricos clássicos, como também em discussões recentes acerca da hospitalidade e na análise das respostas a um questionário qualitativo, enviado em plataforma digital a um público-alvo, turistas e visitantes de Jaguarão, sobre como perceberam a hospitalidade, através do acolhimento pelos agentes que atuam nos setores público, comercial e pelo acolhimento virtual do município. Entendendo que estes interferem no estabelecimento de um referencial para o reconhecimento de Jaguarão como local de atratividade turística e de acolhimento. Após a interpretação dos dados coletados, foi possível compreender que, quando o anfitrião se coloca à disposição do visitante lhe oferecendo o melhor de si, as falhas que podem comprometer a acolhida são amenizadas, permitindo então aventar que a hospitalidade é vetor importante para efetivar e fortalecer o desenvolvimento da atividade turística no destino.
