dc.descriptionThis work refers to the meaning of the political role of the army in the post-dictatorship, more specifically, to the manifestation of power in the institution, in a comparison between the time that the Army was in the government, ie, the dictatorial period, and post in 1985, when there is a transition to democracy. Seeks to understand the structures that support the military system and how the power is unleashed upon insertion in the decision-making arena and democracy based on such analysis to the theory of the power of Luhmann. The study therefore gives and analyzes how the Army constructed power relations, ie, the meaning of political paper, at first, that is, during the dictatorial regime, and in the subsequent period marked by democratization. Also, search in Luhmann's theory support for the confirmation of the hypothesis that the political role presented by the institution has a new meaning in democracy. For Luhmann power needs to renew itself constantly under threat of collapse and realize that the Army seeks to readjust according to changes in their environment.
dc.descriptionEste trabalho refere-se ao significado do papel político do Exército no pós-ditadura, mais especificamente, à manifestação do poder na instituição, em uma comparação entre o período em que o Exército se encontrava no governo, ou seja, no período ditatorial, e no pós 1985, quando há a passagem para a redemocratização. Busca entender as estruturas que dão sustentação ao sistema militar e como o poder se desencadeia no momento de inserção na arena decisória e na redemocratização tendo por base para tal análise a teoria do poder de Luhmann. O estudo, portanto, analisa como o Exército construiu as relações de poder, ou seja, a significação do papel político, no primeiro momento, isto é, durante o regime ditatorial, e no período subsequente marcado pela redemocratização. Além disso, busca na teoria de Luhmann o suporte para a confirmação da hipótese de que o papel político apresentado pela instituição apresenta um novo significado na democracia. Para Luhmann o poder precisa se renovar constantemente sob pena de ruir e percebemos que o Exército procura se readaptar conforme as transformações no seu meio ambiente.
