| dc.description | A growing house is that minimum spatial unit that due to its size becomes affordable in the market and that with the passage of time and thanks to a previous design that contemplates and facilitates it, it will increase in area. Given the importance of adequately planning growth according to the variability of some factors conditioning the process (family composition, average savings, cost of
construction, etc.), through this article will try to lay the foundations to optimize the growth process in incremental housing, identifying these factors and relating them to the selection of expansion mechanisms that should be used. To do this, two concrete coexistence units (one simple and one complex) and based on the principles of flexibility, density, will be analyzed.

| dc.description | Una casa crecedera es aquella unidad espacial mínima que por su tamaño se vuelve asequible en el mercado y que con el paso del tiempo y gracias a un diseño previo que lo contemple y facilite, aumentará de superficie. Dada la importancia de planear adecuadamente el crecimiento de acuerdo con la variabilidad de algunos factores condicionantes del proceso (composición familiar, ahorro medio, costo de la
construcción, etc.), a través de este artículo se tratará de sentar las bases para optimizar el proceso de crecimiento en la vivienda incremental, identificando estos factores y relacionándolos con la selección de los mecanismos de ampliación que se deben utilizar. Para ello se analizarán dos unidades de convivencia concretas (una sencilla y otra compleja) y con base en los principios de flexibilidad, densidad
y territorialidad, que van directamente relacionados con el confort funcional de la vivienda, se indicará cuál de los mecanismos de ampliación estudiados en este caso (unión, mesa habitable, gran galpón y ocupación vertical) es el más adecuado para cada una de estas dos unidades de convivencia. Del análisis se concluye que mientras que para la unidad de convivencia compleja se sugiere utilizar los mecanismos de ampliación por unión o por adición vertical, para la unidad de convivencia sencilla se puede aplicar cualquiera de los mecanismos de ampliación analizados, salvo que se quisiera reducir los problemas derivados de la territorialidad, con lo que se optaría por la unión | |
