| dc.description | Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo es analizar la problemática urbana ambiental y socio-económica de un sector residencial del suroccidente de la ciudad Barranquilla, Colombia. Esta investigación se enfoca en la problemática urbana, social y económica de los barrios Santo Domingo, Las Américas, La Ceibita y El Control, con el fin de conocer las causas reales de la degradación urbana de estos sectores. Con este acercamiento a dichos barrios, pretendemos comprender los diferentes impactos físicos e intangibles que rodean el crecimiento del medio urbano en el sector. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian la presencia de factores de amenazas ambientales muy activos, tales como los arroyos y zonas de deslizamiento de terrenos, la baja calidad de la construcción de la vivienda, entre otros factores. | |
| dc.description | This paper sets out results of a research seeking to analyze an environmentaland socio-economic urban problematic of a residential area from the southwest of Barranquilla, Colombia. This research focuses on the problematic of Santo Domingo, Las Américas, La Ceibita and El Control neighborhoods to recognize the real causes for the urban deterioration of the area. The intention of such approximation to those neighborhoods was to understand both the physical and the intangible impacts surrounding the urban growth in this area. The results obtained evidence the presence of active factors for environmental threats such as steams, landslide areas, and the poor construction quality, among others. | |
