| dc.description | La educación superior en Latinoamérica ha venido enfrentando retos importantes para mantener la competitividad de los profesionales que se forman en la región a nivel mundial; dentro de este contexto se aborda la enseñanza del pregrado de fisioterapia, y como esta profesión impacta la población que atiende una vez se culmina la academia e ingresa al medio laboral. En este artículo se pretende reflexionar el modo que tiene la fisioterapia en Latinoamérica de intervenir sobre el tejido tegumentario y lesiones como las quemaduras. También dentro del artículo se quiere relacionar la educación en paciente quemado en fisioterapia y la importancia que tiene actualmente abordar con mayor profundidad la población que atraviesa cambios tisulares como el proceso de cicatrización y el posterior manejo de la condición resultante a su proceso de cicatrización en este tipo de paciente. Toda esta reflexión tiene la intención de exhortar a las instituciones que ofrecen el pregrado de fisioterapia en Medellín, a replantear la estrategia metodológica que tienen actualmente en el pregrado, para abordar el tema del tejido tegumentario y las condiciones que se instauran posteriormente a la quemadura ya que es un campo casi inexplorado y con un potencial interesante para explotar. | |
| dc.description | Higher education in Latin America has faced important challenges to maintain the competitiveness of the professionals who are trained in the region worldwide; within this context, the undergraduate physiotherapy teaching is addressed, and how this profession impacts the population that attends once the academy is completed and enters the working environment. In this article we intend to reflect on the way physiotherapy in Latin America has to intervene on the integumentary tissue and injuries such as burns. Also within the article we want to relate education in patients burned in physiotherapy and the importance that currently has to address in greater depth the population that undergoes tissue changes such as the healing process and the subsequent management of the resulting condition to its healing process in this type of patient. All this reflection intends to exhort the institutions that offer the physiotherapy undergraduate program in Medellin, to rethink the methodological strategy that they currently have in the undergraduate, to address the issue of the integumentary tissue and the conditions that are established after the burn and which an almost unexplored field is and with an interesting potential to exploit. | |
