| dc.description | The aim of this research is to present that religious principles present in the formation of the United States of America (USA) can be observed until today, demonstrating this through the exposure of some beliefs coming from puritan strands of Protestant religions, set in the contemporary scenario with actions that marked the country's history and inaugural Addresses of US presidents through the middle of the twentieth century. It will be briefly demonstrated the religious revolution in Europe that spawned the Reformed religions, including the founding of the United States of America, so that at the end some addresses of the 20th century American presidents are demonstrated and it can be presented if there is still a relationship between the virtues of Puritan Calvinism and the thoughts of the presidents in question. | |
| dc.description | O objetivo desta pesquisa é apresentar que valores religiosos que estavam presentes na formação dos Estados Unidos da América (EUA) podem ser observados até a atualidade, demonstrando isso através da exposição de algumas crenças provenientes de vertentes puritanas de religiões protestantes, ambientadas no cenário contemporâneo com ações que marcaram a história do país e discursos de inauguração dos presidentes estadunidenses até a metade do século XX. Será demonstrada brevemente a revolução religiosa da Europa que gerou as religiões reformadas, passando pela fundação dos Estados Unidos da América, para que ao final sejam apresentados alguns discursos dos presidentes estadunidenses do século XX e que se possa apresentar se ainda há relação entre as virtudes do calvinismo puritano e os pensamentos dos presidentes em questão. | |
