| dc.description | Institutions build their own history based on facts and figures that represent the values by which they will be remembered and characterized. The Military Police of Minas Gerais had in his paintings the figure of Juscelino Kubistchek who, as a surgeon, worked in the Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932, in the actions of the Minas Gerais troops in the Serra da Mantiqueira, in the Battle of the Tunnel, on the border between the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo. This battle had decisive aspects for the combativity of the forces in conflict, due to the intensity and strategic location of the terrain in which it was fought and the performance of this character is object of research in this work, with the intention of identifying the contribution to the performance of the miners and the place occupied by Juscelino in the history of this military corporation resulting from the actions in combat. | |

A Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais teve nos seus quadros a figura de Juscelino Kubistchek que, como médico-cirurgião, atuou na Revolução Constitucionalista de 1932, nas ações das tropas mineiras na Serra da Mantiqueira, na Batalha do Túnel, na divisa entre os estados de Minas Gerais e São Paulo. Esta batalha teve aspectos decisivos para a combatividade das forças em conflito, em decorrência da intensidade e localização estratégica do terreno na qual foi travada e a atuação deste personagem é objeto de pesquisa neste trabalho, com o intuito de identificar a contribuição para o desempenho dos mineiros e o lugar ocupado por Juscelino na história desta corporação militar decorrente das ações no combate. | |
