dc.descriptionThe purpose of this paper is to analyze the Common Foreign and Security Policy of European Union in the fight against terrorism from 2003 to 2017, after the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11 of 2001. Is to analyze the securitization of terrorism on the European agenda. Therefore, a general overview is made on the International Treaties that started the Common Foreign and Security Policy of European Union (CFSP), as well as on European Integration. It also analyzes the definition that terrorism has, as well as its securitization on the international security agenda and the way the European Union has found to combat it. It also intended to understand what has made terrorism a priority on the European Security agenda.
dc.descriptionO objetivo do presente trabalho é analisar a política externa e de segurança comum no combate ao terrorismo da União Europeia no período de 2003 a 2017, após os atentados terroristas contra os Estados Unidos em 11 de Setembro de 2001. Sendo assim, é feito um apanhado geral sobre os Tratados que deram início a União Europeia e a Política Externa e de Segurança Comum (PESC), assim como sobre a Integração Europeia. Analisa-se, também, definições do terrorismo, assim como, sua securitização na agenda da Segurança Internacional e o modo que a União Europeia encontrou para seu combate. Pretende-se também compreender o que levou o terrorismo a ser uma prioridade na agenda de segurança europeia.
