dc.descriptionThis report presents an evaluation of the Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Deforestation in the Brazilian Legal Amazon (PPCDAm), jointly produced by a team composed of members of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the German Development Cooperation by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, between November 2010 and July 2011, in response to an invitation by the Ministry of the Environment (MMA) and the Executive Committee of the PPCDAm, and coordinated by the Executive Office of the Presidency.
