| dc.description | Resumo: Este trabalho consiste na tradução e estudo do Dissoì Lógoi, tratado sofístico datado de 404 a.C. A tradução do texto é antecedida de uma contextualização histórica que situa a sofística como fenômeno social e movimento intelectual. A apresentação do texto foi construída a partir de leituras correntes significativas da obra e discute a orientação das caracterizações propostas. As notas e comentários que acompanham a tradução analisam passagens importantes, buscam também formar um panorama das interpretações possíveis e sugerir questões e inter-relações. Norteia o estudo o objetivo de levantar informações que colaborem para o entendimento da visão sofística da linguagem. Considera-se o Dissoì Lógoi exemplar do ensino sofístico de retórica. O estudo de técnicas argumentativas era parte central da formação oferecida pelos sofistas, e o tratado analisado apresenta-se como um repositório de estratégias lógico-discursivas. | |
| dc.description | Abstract: This work consists in the translation and study of Dissoi Logoi, a sophistic treatise dated of 404 B.C. The translation is preceded by a historical context which situates sophistics as a social phenomenon and intellectual movement. The text presentation was build starting from significant current lectures of the work and discusses the orientation of the proposed characterizations. The notes and comments that follow the translation analyze important passages, in order to form a panorama of the possible interpretations and suggest subjects and interrelations. The study is directed to raise information that collaborates to the understanding of the sophistic view of the language. Dissoi Logoi is considered an example of the sophistic instruction of rhetoric. The study of the argumentative techniques was central part of the formation offered by the sophists, and the treatise presents itself as a repository of logicaldiscursive strategies. | |
