dc.descriptionFlorestas Estacionais são formações vegetais caracterizadas por dupla estacionalidade climática e encontram-se distribuídas de forma disjunta pela América do Sul. O estudo dos elementos florísticos característicos dessas áreas é de grande importância para conhecer as ligações históricas entre esses fragmentos. Espécies de Anadenanthera Speg. ocorrem em toda área de distribuição das Florestas Estacionais, e A. colubrina var. cebil (Griseb.) Altschul foi indicada por alguns autores como espécie modelo para estudo da história evolutiva dessas florestas. Anadenanthera é um pequeno gênero arbóreo pertencente a tribo Mimoseae (Leguminosae Mimosoideae). Esse gênero atualmente é circunscrito como duas espécies com duas variedades cada uma: A. colubrina (Vell.) Brenan var. colubrina, A. colubrina var. cebil (Griseb.) Altschul, A. peregrina (L.) Speg. var. peregrina e A. peregrina var. falcata (Benthan) Altschul, mas já foram consideradas como quatro espécies distintas. Nesse trabalho, foram utilizadas sequências da região do ITS (Internal Transcribed Spacer) do rDNA para o estudo da filogenia e filogeografia do gênero Anadenanthera. Os resultados revelaram a monofilia dos espécimes de Anadenanthera colubrina var. colubrina, mas não confirma a monofila das demais variedades. A diversidade genética de Anadenanthera foi desigualmente distribuída, sendo maior para as populações da região Atlântica, que foi considerada o centro de diversidade do gênero. Os resultados sugerem uma ligação pretérita entre as florestas da região do Chiquitano e o nordeste da região Atlântica. A estrutura filogeográfica também sugere a colonização por diferentes refúgios e eventos de expansão rápida e recente para Anadenanthera.
dc.descriptionSeasonal Forests are characterized by two seasons and are distributed in a disjointed manner across South America. The study of floristic elements that are characteristic of these areas is of great importance to our understanding of the historical connections between these fragments. Anadenanthera Speg. occurs within regions that contain Seasonal Forests, and A. colubrina var. cebil (Griseb.) Altschul has been indicated by some authors as a model species for studying the evolutionary history of these forests. Anadenanthera is a small genus of trees belonging to the tribe Mimoseae (Leguminosae-Mimosoideae). This genus is now circumscribed as two species with two varieties each: A. colubrina (Vell.) Brenan var. colubrina, A. colubrina var. cebil (Griseb.) Altschul, A. peregrina (L.) Speg. var. peregrina and A. peregrina var. falcata (Bentham) Altschul, though they are regarded as four distinct species. In this study, we used sequences from the ITS region (Internal Transcribed Spacer) rDNA to study the phylogeny and phylogeography of the Anadenanthera genus. The results revealed the monophyly of Anadenanthera colubrina var. colubrina, but did not confirm the monophyly of the other varieties. The genetic diversity of Anadenanthera was unevenly distributed, being higher for the populations of the Atlantic region, which was considered the center of diversity of the genus. The results suggest a link between the forests of the Chiquitano region and the Northeast Atlantic region. The phylogeographic structure also suggests colonization of different refuges and of rapid and recent expansion events for Anadenanthera.
