| dc.description | Com o objetivo de determinar as exigências dos macroelementos minerais (Ca, P, Mg, K e Na) de zebuínos, foi conduzido um experimento no Departamento de Zootecnia da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, utilizando-se 16 novilhos castrados, com peso vivo médio inicial de 270 kg, mantidos em confinamento. Quatro animais foram abatidos, após o período de adaptação, para servirem como referência, e os doze restantes foram distribuídos em três tratamentos com diferentes níveis de concentrado nas dietas (5, 35 e 65%), na base da matéria seca (MS) total, em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com quatro repetições. As dietas foram formuladas de forma a serem isoprotéicas. O volumoso foi constituído de pré-secado de capim-braquiária (Brachiaria brizantha) e de capim-tifton 85 (Cynodon sp.). Os conteúdos de macroelementos minerais retidos no corpo foram estimados por meio de equações de regressão do logaritmo do conteúdo corporal dos macroelementos minerais, em função do logaritmo do peso de corpo vazio (PCVZ). As exigências líquidas dos macroelementos minerais, para ganho de 1 kg de PCVZ, foram obtidas utilizando-se a equação Y' = b.10ª. Xb-1, sendo a e b o intercepto e o coeficiente de regressão, respectivamente, das equações de predição dos conteúdos corporais de cada macroelemento mineral considerado. Verificou-se diminuição nas concentrações de todos os macroelementos minerais estudados, no corpo vazio e no ganho de corpo vazio, com a elevação do peso vivo. As relações obtidas para g Ca/100g de proteína retida e g P/100 g de proteína retida foram, respectivamente, 10,92 e 5,26. | |
| dc.description | With the objective to determine the macrominerals (Ca, P, Mg, Na, K) requirements of zebu cattle, a trial involving sixteen zebu steers with initial live weight of 270 kg was conducted. Four steers were slaughtered after the adaptation period of the trial, performing the reference group, and the remaining were uniformly allotted to a complete randomized design, in three treatments, with different levels of concentrate in the diets (5, 35, 65 %, in the total dry matter basis). The diets were formulated to be isoproteic. The roughage used was Brachiaria brizantha and Cynodon sp. haylage. The macrominerals contents retained in the body were estimated by regression equations of the logarithm of the macrominerals contents in the body, in function of the logarithm of the empty body weight (EBW). By deriving the prediction equations of macrominerals body content, in function of the logarithm of EBW, it was obtained the net macrominerals requirements for gain of 1 kg EBW, through the equation Y`= b.10a.Xb-1, being "a" and "b" intercept and the regression coefficient, respectively, of the prediction equations of macrominerals contents in the body. It was observed a decrease in the concentrations of all the macromineral studied in the empty body and in the gain of empty body as the live weight increased. The relationships obtained for g Ca/100g of retained protein and g P/100 g of retained protein were 10.92 and 5.26, respectively. | |
