| dc.description | This dissertation is a part of the history of vocational Professional Education materialized in the core of the campaign Barefoot, We Also Learn to Read (De P? No Ch?o Tamb?m Se Aprende a Ler). It aims at promoting the acknowledgment of this important movement of education and culture in the city of Natal/RN in the early 1960s. A public educational policy that fought illiteracy and promoted vocational professional formation. Also, this study contributes for the insertion of this Campaign in the history of vocational Professional Education in Brazil. The investigation path was built on the methodological paradigm using the snowball sampling to meet the privileged subjects. This study is based on interpretative practices founded in documents, bibliographical materials and the speeches of the subjects that objectively compounded the history of the sixth stage of the campaign. They provided the outlining of the social and political conjecture during the term of Djalma Maranh?o as mayor of the city of Natal. Thus, through the evidences, was identified the reality surrounding the theme of study in the dialectical movement of history, a dynamic in which the objectification of life was realized. The collected data allowed the mapping of the relationships between education and work experienced during the Campaign, as well as the understanding of Professional Education as the synthesis of these relations within the scope of this municipal policy. In addition, the data showed a range of students from the capital of Potiguar was trained to work professionally, and that the formation process for working was, specially, carried out in the barns of the School Camps built in the surroundings of the city to facilitate the access for those who were politically unprivileged and forgotten by public policies. The approval of vocational professional courses was reflected on the growing demand for qualifications of this nature, registered by the City Hall of Natal at that historical moment, when the population suffered from lack of education and work. The campaign was ceased with the Civil-Military Coup in 1964. It punished the ones responsible for the campaign and tried to banish its traces from history. Nevertheless, this work reunited some of these evidences restoring a substantive part of the vocational professional education of the city.

| dc.description | Esta disserta??o comp?e-se de uma parte da hist?ria da Educa??o Profissional, concretizada no seio da Campanha De P? No Ch?o Tamb?m Se Aprende a Ler. O intuito ? o de promover o reconhecimento desse movimento de educa??o e cultura popular de Natal/RN, do in?cio da d?cada de 1960, como uma pol?tica p?blica educacional deste munic?pio, cujas finalidades voltavam-se para a erradica??o do analfabetismo e para a forma??o profissional. Ademais, visa a contribuir para a inser??o da Campanha na hist?ria da Educa??o Profissional do Brasil. O trajeto de investiga??o foi constru?do tendo como referente metodol?gico o paradigma indici?rio, por meio da t?cnica bola de neve para o encontro de sujeitos privilegiados. Aporta-se, desse modo, em pr?ticas interpretativas, fundadas em documentos, materiais bibliogr?ficos e nas falas dos sujeitos que objetivamente compuseram a hist?ria da sexta fase da Campanha e proporcionaram o delineamento da conjuntura pol?tica e social vivenciada durante o mandato de Djalma Maranh?o quando prefeito da cidade de Natal. Assim, foi identificada atrav?s dos ind?cios a realidade que cercava a tem?tica de estudo no movimento dial?tico da hist?ria, din?mica na qual se realizava a objetiva??o da vida. Os dados coletados possibilitaram o mapeamento das rela??es entre educa??o e trabalho vivenciadas na Campanha, bem como a compreens?o da Educa??o Profissional como a s?ntese dessas rela??es no ?mbito dessa pol?tica municipal. Observa-se, ainda, que foi capacitada uma gama de alunos da capital potiguar para atuar profissionalmente, e que o processo formativo para o trabalho foi realizado, principalmente, nos galp?es dos Acampamentos Escolares, constru?dos nas periferias da cidade para facilitar o acesso da popula??o mais carente e esquecida pelos poderes p?blicos. A aceita??o dos cursos profissionais se refletiu na demanda crescente por qualifica??es dessa natureza, registrada pela Prefeitura de Natal naquele momento hist?rico, ?poca na qual a popula??o sofria com a falta de educa??o e de trabalho. A Campanha foi interrompida com o Golpe Civil-Militar de 1964, que al?m de punir os respons?veis pela Campanha, tentou banir da hist?ria seus vest?gios. Todavia, neste trabalho, conseguimos reunir alguns desses vest?gios, recompondo uma parte substancial da Educa??o Profissional que ali se fez. | |
