| dc.description | The motivation of this work is to question whether the different conceptions and discourses around health-disease are triggered in the legitimation / delegitimation of contemporary interventions involving urban renewal projects, especially in the central areas, expressing the dispute around patterns of domination and contestation to logic reproduction of capital in the city. Our objective is to reflect critically on the relationship between health and the city from the urban interventions in the great Brazilian cities, and how different conceptions and discourses around the health-disease function as a mechanism of legitimation of excluding practices subordinated to the logic of production of the city capitalist. Thinking about the disputes around the Luz region in the central area of the city of São Paulo in the 21st century, and how the discourses on health are present at the moment legitimizing these models of urbanism, producing a logic of legitimation and control of conflicts. | |
| dc.description | A motivação deste trabalho é questionar se as diferentes concepções e discursos em torno da
saúde-doença são acionados na legitimação/deslegitimação das intervenções contemporâneas
envolvendo projetos de renovação urbana, sobretudo nas áreas centrais, expressando a disputa em
torno padrões de dominação e contestação à lógica de reprodução do capital na cidade. O nosso
objetivo é refletir criticamente sobre a relação entre saúde e cidade a partir das intervenções
urbanas nas grandes cidades brasileiras, e como diferentes concepções e discursos em torno da
saúde-doença funcionam como mecanismo de legitimação de práticas excludentes subordinadas à
lógica de produção da cidade capitalista. Pensando as disputas em torno da região Luz na área
central da cidade do São Paulo no século XXI, e como os discursos sobre saúde estão presentes
nesse momento legitimando esses modelos de urbanismo, produzindo lógica de legitimação e
controle de conflitos. | |
