Este artigo pretende compreender o pensamento do autor sobre algumas ideias que pairavam no discurso de vários intelectuais na virada do século XIX e início do XX e como se colocou mediante a uma tradição intelectual que tentou desvincular hereditariedade de aspectos socioeconômicos na formação de povos racialmente "inferiores" ou "superiores". Pretendemos estudar as posições quanto ao aspecto das teorias científicas raciais e a condição do negro, índio e do mestiço. | |
| dc.description | Darcy Ribeiro attempted to be the active voice in the interpretation of Brazil during his intellectual life. Adding positive aspects, he drew the vicissitudes of the Brazilian people formation, reflecting both the collapses and junctions of the many ‘Brazils’, as he himself defined. This article intends to comprehend the author’s thoughts about some ideas that hover over several intellectual speeches in the turning from the 19th to the 20th century and how he stood by an intellectual tradition which he tried to unlink heredity from social-economic features in the formation of racially ‘inferior’ or ‘superior’ people. We intend to study the positions regarding scientific theories and the conditions of black, native americans and mixed groups. | |
