dc.descriptionEsta pesquisa tem como objetivo apresentar a percepção dos gerentes de repositórios institucionais (RIs) em relação ao autoarquivamento e ao índice de compartilhamento de artigos pelos autores através de RIs no Brasil e em Portugal. O corpus da pesquisa foi selecionado com base nas informações disponíveis no OpenDOAR e no RCAAP. Um questionário eletrônico semi-estruturado foi utilizado como ferramenta de coleta de dados e enviado para 47 RIs em Portugal e 43 RIs no Brasil. Obteve-se o retorno de 27 questionários de Portugal e 25 do Brasil. Verificou-se que apenas 19% dos RIs portugueses e 36% dos RIs brasileiros não possuem permissão para o auto-arquivamento ativado no sistema. Nos RIs brasileiros, 75% dos gestores relataram que menos de 5% do material foi depositado via autoarquivamento. Nos RIs portugueses, 27% dos gestores relataram que isso acontece entre 91% a 100%. A maioria dos gerentes brasileiros (86%) e portugueses (60%) que não permitem o autoarquivamento no sistema acredita que, mesmo que isso tenha sido permitido, os pesquisadores não estariam interessados nessa tarefa. Conclui-se que os RIs portugueses tornam mais viável o autoarquivamento do que os RIs brasileiros, e é necessário investir no treinamento dos administradores de RI e da equipe de bibliotecários.
dc.descriptionThis research aims to present the perception of the managers of institutional repositories (IRs) regarding self-archiving and the articles sharing index by authors through IRs in Brazil and Portugal. The corpus of the research was selected based on information available in the OpenDOAR and RCAAP. A semistructured electronic questionnaire was used as a data collection tool and sent to 47 IRs in Portugal and 43 IRs in Brazil. It was obtained the return of 27 questionnaires from Portugal and 25 from Brazil. It was verified that only 19% of the Portuguese IRs and 36% of the Brazilian IRs do not have the permission for the self-archiving enabled in the system. In Brazilian IRs, 75% of the managers reported that less than 5% of the material was deposited via self-archiving. In Portuguese IRs, 27% of managers reported that this happens between 91% to 100%. Most Brazilian (86%) and Portuguese (60%) managers who do not enable selfarchiving in the system believe that even if this were enabled the researchers would not be interested in this task. It is concluded that the Portuguese IRs make more feasible the self-archiving than the Brazilian IRs, and it is necessary to invest in the IR managers' and the team librarians' training
