dc.descriptionContraception contributes to improving people's living conditions by allowing them to decide whether or not to have children. The present study aimed to investigate sexual and reproductive health among students in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at the Instituto Especializado de Profesionales de la Salud (Specialized Institute of Health Professionals). The research was descriptive qualitative. The main methods and techniques used were inductive-deductive, analysis-synthesis, survey, chi-square test and descriptive statistics. The sample consisted of 62 students from the San Miguel Regional Center. It was found that, of the 100% of the sample, 83.87% of the students know the correct use of condoms; 38.70% frequently use contraceptive methods; 95.16% know what sexual and reproductive health is; 66.12% have had protected sexual relations; and 96.77% know the rights of sexual and reproductive health. It is affirmed that, the students of the 2nd year of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing of the Specialized Institute of Health Professionals have a responsible sexual and reproductive health to prevent STIs/HIV and pregnancy.en-US
dc.descriptionLa anticoncepción contribuye a mejorar las condiciones de vida de las personas al permitirles decidir entre tener hijos o no. El presente estudio persiguió indagar acerca de la salud sexual y reproductiva en los estudiantes del 2.o año de la Licenciatura en Enfermería, del Instituto Especializado de Profesionales de la Salud. La investigación fue cualitativa descriptiva. Los principales métodos y técnicas empleados fueron el inductivo-deductivo, análisis-síntesis, la encuesta, la prueba de chi cuadrado y la estadística descriptiva. La muestra estuvo constituida por 62 estudiantes del Centro Regional san Miguel. Se evidenció que, del 100 % de la muestra, el 83.87 % de los estudiantes conoce el uso correcto del preservativo; el 38.70 % utiliza con frecuencia los métodos anticonceptivos; el 95.16 % sabe qué es la salud sexual y reproductiva; el 66.12 % ha tenido relaciones sexuales protegidas; y el 96.77 % conoce los derechos de la salud sexual y reproductiva. Se afirma que, los estudiantes del 2.o año de la Licenciatura en Enfermería del Instituto Especializado de Profesionales de la Salud tienen una salud sexual y reproductiva responsable para prevenir las ITS/VIH y el embarazo.es-ES
