| dc.description | This essay makes a comparison of the profile of the excellent university teacher, based on the definition of Ken Bain and David López, who take up several of the characteristics that they possess and that classify them as extraordinary. Taking into account the criteria of several scholars on the subject, the work delimits the qualities of efficient and non-efficient teachers. It is concluded that being a teacher necessarily entails the construction of the profile of an academic, who not only transmits knowledge, but also a way of life, since this profession requires a symbiosis between vocation, knowledge and an ethical sense of practice. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este ensayo hace una comparación del perfil del docente universitario excelente, a partir de la definición de Ken Bain y David López, quienes retoman varias de las características que estos poseen y que los catalogan como extraordinarios. Teniendo en cuenta los criterios de varios estudiosos del tema, en el trabajo se delimitan las cualidades del docente eficiente y del no eficiente. Se concluye que, el ser docente conlleva necesariamente a la construcción del perfil de un académico, que no solo transmita conocimientos, sino un modo de vida, pues esta profesión requiere de una simbiosis entre la vocación, el conocimiento y el sentido ético de la práctica. | es-ES |
