Estrategias administrativas para optimización de recursos en el suministro de medicamentos en entidad pública colombiana

Abstract

A notable increase is observed in the budget allocated to the expense of prescribed and dispensed drugs in the organization under analysis. In recent years, through a contract for the supply and dispensing of medicines with national coverage, the population under its jurisdiction can obtain the pharmacotherapeutic agents established in the Medicines and Therapeutics Manual, defined by Agreement 052 "Whereby establishes the manual of medicines and therapeutics for the SSMP and other provisions are dictated", defining all the medicines for users and determining the mechanisms to access others that are not listed there through the scientific technical committees of medicines, of the pharmacovigilance committee and guidelines are established for the prescription of medicines, among others. The efficiency in the use of economic resources for the purchase and supply of medicines in public entities is a matter that demands attention, since it is necessary to ensure access by users to medicines, while at the same time seeking to achieve efficient management. This document seeks to point out those administrative strategies that can impact spending for this concept, contributing to the identification and formulation of strategies that contribute to decision-making and why not delimit the construction of guidelines.
