| dc.description | <p>La presente investigación está orientada a la realización de un estudio de usuarios al Centro de Documentación Regional (CDR) del Banco de la República en Cali. Para lograr los objetivos se abordó los conceptos teóricos y metodológicos del tema, en la caracterización de los usuarios del centro de documentación, así como de la identificación de sus necesidades de información. La metodología utilizada para este trabajo investigativo fue de un enfoque mixto, de tipo descriptivo e hipotético-deductivo, a través de un método de estudio de caso, en donde las técnicas empleadas fueron la encuesta y la observación, y como instrumentos de recolección de información fueron el cuestionario y el guion de observación. Los resultados mostraron los siguientes perfiles de usuario: investigadores, público general, profesores, estudiantes universitarios y tesistas. Igualmente, se notó la presencia mayoritaria de hombres frente a mujeres y de adultos frente a jóvenes. Adicionalmente, se evidenció el uso de servicios como consulta en sala, préstamo de libros, membresía a la Red BLAA, conectividad web, uso del microfilm y compra de publicaciones. Así mismo, las necesidades de información correspondieron en la realización de investigaciones sobre temas históricos y culturales de la región, así como también del disfrute del ocio. Por otro lado, se identificó la utilización de recursos como libros, prensa antigua, investigaciones académicas, prensa reciente, revistas especializadas, archivo fotográfico y fanzines. Adicionalmente, se determinó la percepción de los usuarios, que tendió a ser positiva frente a la prestación de los servicios y las colecciones del centro de documentación.</p> | |
| dc.description | This research is oriented to the realization of a study of users of the Regional Documentation Center (CDR) of the Banco de la Republica in Cali. In order to achieve the objectives, the theoretical and methodological concepts of the subject were approached, in the characterization of the users of the documentation center, as well as the identification of their information needs. The methodology used for this research work was of a mixed approach, descriptive and hypothetical-deductive, through a case study method, where the techniques used were the survey and observation, and as instruments of information collection were the questionnaire and the observation script. The results showed the following user profiles: researchers, general public, teachers, university students and thesis students. Likewise, the majority presence of men as opposed to women and of adults as opposed to young people was noted. In addition, there was evidence of the use of services such as consultation in the reading room, book lending, membership in the BLAA Network, web connectivity, use of microfilm and purchase of publications. Likewise, the information needs to be corresponded to research on historical and cultural topics of the region, as well as the enjoyment of leisure. On the other hand, the use of resources such as books, old press, academic research, recent press, specialized magazines, photographic archives and fanzines was identified. In addition, the perception of the users was determined, which tended to be positive with respect to the services and collections of the documentation center. | |
